Job Title: Business Strategy & Development Officer – Defense Sector

Position Overview:
 Tera AI is seeking an accomplished Business Strategy & Development Officer to lead the expansion of our defense and automotive business. This high-impact role is critical in identifying opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and executing sales strategies that drive our mission to deliver cutting-edge AI and deep technologies to the defense, aerospace, and automotive industries.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping Tera AI’s growth trajectory, collaborating across teams, leveraging industry expertise, and demonstrating technical acumen to succeed in competitive markets.

  • Base Salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
     Develop and implement a robust sales strategy and go-to-market plan targeting government agencies, defense contractors, and automotive companies.

     

  • Market Entry & Expansion:
     Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the defense (and possibly aerospace, and automotive) industry to drive sustained growth.

     

  • Relationship Building:
     Possess, Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and key stakeholders across the value chain.

     

  • Partnership Development:
     Collaborate with vendors, integrators, and other partners to build and maintain strategic alliances.

     

  • Sales Execution:
     Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring all activities align with company objectives.

     

  • Technical Knowledge:
     Utilize a strong understanding of advanced technologies, including AI, GPS solutions, and software engineering, to effectively communicate Tera AI’s value propositions and meet client needs.

     

  • Industry Expertise:
     Stay up-to-date on government procurement processes, regulations, and market trends to anticipate and address client challenges proactively.

     

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies targeting government agencies and their suppliers.
  • Strong network within the defense, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in building lasting relationships and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • In-depth understanding of advanced technologies, such as AI, software engineering, and GPS solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an engineering or technical background is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and stakeholders.
