They are excited to add more Full Stack Engineers to their team. This person will build and architect technology solutions to drive their content platform.
More specifically, you will:
- Work on video-based consumer products for education
- Investigate and develop new projects and initiatives
- Contribute to discussions around new ideas and improvements to existing products
- Create compelling analyses, and estimate solutions to problems involving unknowns
- Support the team in the writing of deployment scripts and place strong emphasis in automated deployment, infrastructure automation solutions, and continuous delivery process
- Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate
Required Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience working on large scale distributed systems
- Familiarity working within a SCRUM / Agile team environment
- Experienced with modern back-end service frameworks (specifically Django)
- Experienced with continuous integration and unit-testing (Jenkins / CircleCI / Bamboo / Gitlab)
- Experienced working with and implementing RESTful APIs
- Experienced with Relational databases (MySQL/Postgres)

- Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Redux)
- Familiarity with modern search engines, task queues, message brokers (Celery, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch)
- Passionate about building incredible consumer products
- Comfortable with ambiguity: if you don’t have all the details, you’re comfortable moving forward and facing the uncertain because risk and change motivate you to evolve and innovate.
- Goal oriented: you combine vision, mission, and strategy into a cohesive outcome and are comfortable setting stretch goals for you and your team.
