Senior Python Engineer – Supporting ML Operations
Remote (Anywhere) Full-Time, Minimal Travel
About:
Our Client is a small, focused signal processing team that moves fast and holds a high bar. If you want ownership from day one and care about the craft, this is the role for you. You’ll own meaningful pieces of our stack: ETL pipelines, ML-powered features, containerized services, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. You won’t be handed a ticket queue — you’ll shape what we build and how they build it.
More Specifically you will:
Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines
Develop and integrate ML-powered features into production applications
Build and work within containerized environments using Docker
Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes
Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS
Contribute across the full stack — from backend services and APIs to frontend dashboards and UIs
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions
Required Skill and Experience:
5–7 years of professional Python experience
Startup background — you’ve thrived in a fast-moving environment and know how to get things done
Production ETL pipeline experience
Hands-on AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
Docker proficiency: writing Dockerfiles, building images, developing in containerized environments
Kubernetes experience: deploying and managing workloads in a cluster
Exposure to ML application development — research background not required
Self-starter who finds what needs doing and does it
High comfort with ambiguity and genuine enthusiasm for startup culture
Nice to have:
Experience with Plotly/Dash or other Python web frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.)
Professional experience in at least one other language (Go, TypeScript, Rust, Java, Scala)
Signal processing experience — working with time-series, sensor, or frequency-domain data
Some exposure to gRPC and Protocol Buffers
Their Tech Stack:
Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, ETL Pipelines, ML/AI Apps, Docker/K8s, CI/CD, REST APIs, Git
How They Work:
Fully remote. They keep core hours aligned with standard business times and are flexible beyond that.
Schedule flexibility within reason — they trust you to manage your time
Minimal travel: the occasional off-site or conference
Async-friendly with clear communication norms
