Solution Architect / Principal Consultant

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid or Remote w/ Travel)

About:

Our Client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect / Principal Consultant to lead the design and delivery of complex customer solutions. In this role, you’ll serve as the technical leader on implementation projects, partnering directly with customers to understand their business challenges and translate them into scalable, high-quality solutions.

You’ll work closely with project managers, consultants, sales, and product teams while acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical architecture, customer engagement, and strategic consulting.

More Specifically you will:

• Lead Solution Architecture

• Own solution design from discovery through implementation and handoff

• Design scalable, maintainable solutions that solve complex customer challenges

• Translate business requirements into technical architectures and implementation plans

• Produce clear technical documentation for delivery teams

• Identify project risks early and recommend mitigation strategies

• Partner with Customers

• Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout customer engagements

• Lead discovery sessions and guide customers toward best practices

• Build trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders

• Help customers define their long-term Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM) strategy

• Collaborate Across Teams

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery

• Support Configuration Consultants throughout implementation

• Work closely with Sales and Presales during technical discussions

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to influence future product direction

• Improve Consulting Excellence

• Mentor junior consultants and share technical expertise

• Help develop consulting methodologies, standards, and best practices

• Contribute to improving solution architecture processes across the organization

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years in software consulting, professional services, or solution architecture

• At least 3 years leading technical solution design for enterprise software implementations

• Experience delivering complex customer-facing software projects

• Background working with ERP, CPQ, PLM, or similar enterprise platforms

• Experience supporting manufacturing organizations (discrete manufacturing, industrial, or high-mix/low-volume environments)

• Proven ability to lead discovery workshops and manage customer expectations

• Experience owning technical workstreams or end-to-end project delivery

Technical Qualifications:

• CPQ or configuration software implementations (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Tacton, or similar)

• Rules engines and product configuration

• Variant management

• Bill of Materials (BOM) structures

• Pricing logic

• ETL processes, integrations, and data mapping

• Data import/export workflows

• Scripting or software development experience sufficient to work closely with engineering teams

• Interest in leveraging AI to improve consulting and delivery
