Our company is in need of an experienced coach to help transition our existing work practices into an agile methodology. The Agile Coach will serve as a mentor and guide for our employees as they determine the best solutions for their specific department challenges. They will also be responsible for analyzing our organization’s existing infrastructure and implementing improvements that streamline processes. The Agile Coach will play a critical role in our long-term business strategy, helping our teams to deliver better products in a more efficient manner.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coach senior managers in agile practices to ensure adoption from the top down
  • Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting agile best practices
  • Guide teams in agile techniques and fine-tune their approach to ensure the overall strategy is maintained
  • Communicate agile principles and scrum practices across the organization
  • Lead agile workshops for functional teams and key stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset
  • Set goals and milestones and assign responsibilities
  • Conduct daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are met
  • Hold stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as an agile coach
  • Experience using various agile methodologies, including scrum, kanban, and lean
  • Experience implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environments
  • Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity 
  • Experience leading, educating, and coaching teams 
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks like Scaled Agile Framework or Large-Scale Scrum
  • Experience guiding organizations through agile transformations
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as an agile coach or scrum master
  • Experience coaching at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies
