We are seeking a Chief Product Officer (CPO) to oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, design, and sales, to define and execute our company’s product vision. The CPO will bridge the overarching business strategy with technical aspects of product development, ensuring the product meets customer needs and aligns with organizational goals. As a strategic leader, the CPO will help to drive innovation within our organization by staying up-to-date with market trends, customer preferences, and industry best practices, ensuring our products maintain a competitive edge and meet the ever-changing demands of our target audience.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Formulate clear product vision and strategy that aligns with our overall objectives
  • Own and drive the entire product lifecycle from design through launch
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, analyze customer feedback, and identify new opportunities or untapped markets
  • Define product requirements 
  • Define the product roadmap and set measurable goals
  • Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to ensure the product strategy aligns with the company’s long-term vision
  • Ensure the timeline and successful delivery of high-quality products
  • Oversee product development cycles and guide the design and engineering teams
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Perform testing and quality assurance to ensure the products meet our desired quality standards
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track the success of products
  • Implement effective product management processes such as user research, user story development, and agile methodologies
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships 
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery
  • Coach and mentor team members and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Serve as a liaison between the product team and other stakeholders
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product development, or related roles
  • 5+ years in a leadership role related to product development 
  • Experience successfully bringing products to market and driving growth
  • Experience developing and executing product strategies 
  • Experience analyzing market data and making data-driven decisions
  • Experience conducting financial evaluations
  • Experience recruiting and developing a high performing product team 
  • Experience interpreting customer needs and market trends
  • Experience leading deeply technical product plans and aligning business strategy and technology delivery
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
  • Knowledge of data-driven decision making using KPIs and metrics
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies, such as agile or lean practices
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
