Our client is a leading tax technology platform modernizing the private markets tax ecosystem. Their platform digitizes, automates, standardizes, and distributes complex tax data across stakeholders including LPs, GPs, CPA firms, tax-exempt entities, banks, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.

Their AI-powered extraction engine, trained on more than one million tax documents and hundreds of thousands of annotated financial records, powers a growing suite of products designed to eliminate manual tax workflows and unlock data-driven insights across the industry.

The platform supports a broad range of tax workflow automation, aggregation, production, collaboration, and compliance solutions used by some of the nation’s largest accounting firms, institutional investors, family offices, and enterprise organizations.


The Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Product Marketing to lead the company’s product marketing function and shape how the platform is positioned in the market. This role will own product positioning, go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and thought leadership across the company’s product suite.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to translate complex tax technology into clear, compelling market narratives that drive pipeline growth and accelerate revenue.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of technical product depth and market storytelling and can turn nuanced tax workflows into differentiated business value for CPA firms, institutional investors, and enterprise buyers.


What You’ll Do

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Own go-to-market strategy and execution for new product launches, feature releases, and market expansion initiatives across the platform

  • Develop launch plans, messaging frameworks, release tiers, and cross-functional rollout timelines

  • Build and manage the product marketing calendar aligned to tax filing cycles, renewal periods, and strategic business priorities

  • Partner with Product leadership to communicate roadmap innovation and reinforce category leadership

Positioning & Competitive Intelligence

  • Develop and evolve differentiated positioning and messaging across the company’s product suite

  • Conduct competitive analysis across tax workflow, extraction, and financial technology platforms

  • Build and maintain competitive battle cards, objection-handling frameworks, and win/loss insights

  • Translate AI and extraction capabilities into clear value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Monitor industry trends, pricing movements, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategy

Sales Enablement

  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, ROI calculators, demo scripts, and competitive comparisons

  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to understand buyer personas, sales cycles, and market dynamics across CPA firms, institutional investors, family offices, and enterprise accounts

  • Develop segment-specific messaging and GTM playbooks for key verticals including Top 100 accounting firms, tax-exempt entities, and financial institutions

  • Train revenue teams on new product capabilities, positioning updates, and competitive differentiation

Thought Leadership & Content Strategy

  • Establish the company as a leading voice in private markets tax technology through original research, strategic content, and industry engagement

  • Develop content strategies across whitepapers, webinars, blogs, customer stories, and conference presentations

  • Support analyst relations, public relations, and executive thought leadership initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to leverage proprietary datasets and market insights for differentiated industry content

Customer & Market Insights

  • Serve as the internal voice of the market by synthesizing customer feedback, buyer behavior, and industry trends into actionable recommendations

  • Partner with Customer Success to develop customer advocacy programs including testimonials, references, and case studies

  • Provide market intelligence that helps shape product strategy, packaging, and positioning decisions


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience within B2B SaaS environments

  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, tax technology, accounting software, compliance technology, or related industries

  • Proven success leading enterprise go-to-market launches from strategy through execution

  • Experience building sales enablement programs that positively impact pipeline generation and win rates

  • Strong ability to translate complex technical products into clear, compelling business value

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with executive-level polish

  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally across Product, Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success teams

  • Comfortable operating as a hands-on strategic leader in a fast-paced, high-growth environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in tax technology, K-1 processing, partnership tax, or related accounting workflows

  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered software products and data-driven platforms

  • Experience marketing to CPA firms, institutional investors, or enterprise financial services buyers

  • Background in competitive intelligence, analyst relations, or strategic market research

  • Experience positioning analytics or data monetization products
