Enrollment Specialist
Location: Orlando or Tampa, FL.
Requirement: Must be locally based to facilitate frequent in-person engagement with churches and community partners. This role is primarily on-site and focused on campus operations and community engagement, with the potential for occasional remote workdays as responsibilities allow.
Position Type: Non-exempt, full-time. While this is a 40-hour-a-week role, the schedule must be fluid to meet the demands of a new school launch. Candidates should expect a non-traditional schedule that includes evening informational sessions and weekend community outreach. We utilize a “flex-time” approach as much as possible to ensure total weekly hours remain balanced.

Our client partners with churches and communities to launch high-quality Christian schools that combine strong academic instruction with biblical worldview education. Their model utilizes live virtual teachers paired with in-person facilitators, allowing students – anywhere- to receive personalized academic support while growing spiritually in a Christ-centered school environment.
Role Overview
Enrollment Specialist to support the launch and growth of several new Christian school campuses in central Florida. This individual will play a critical role in building strong enrollment pipelines, guiding families through the admissions process, and supporting operational components that ensure a successful school launch. This is a foundational hire. We aren’t just filling seats; the person in this role is a key architect in launching a movement of Christian education in Florida. This person will be the ‘face’ of the school for our first 100 families- and beyond. The Enrollment Specialist will work closely with the School Director and leadership team to recruit and enroll students, support compliance requirements related to scholarship programs, and help create a strong community presence for each campus from launch to growth phase.

Key Responsibilities Student Recruitment & Enrollment
? Develop and execute enrollment strategies to recruit students for new Shining Star Christian School campuses
? Clearly communicate and promote Shining Star’s hybrid learning model to prospective families
? Manage prospective family inquiries and guide them through the full enrollment process
? Conduct parent meetings, informational sessions, and open house events ? Build and maintain an active enrollment pipeline using CRM tools
? Follow up consistently with prospective families to drive enrollment conversions Community Outreach
? Build relationships with local churches, community organizations, and homeschool groups to generate enrollment interest
? Represent Shining Star Christian Schools at community events and outreach initiatives
? Assist with local marketing efforts including flyers, school presentations, and promotional events Scholarship & Compliance Support
? Assist families in navigating the Step Up For Students scholarship program and other Florida school choice opportunities
? Support state mandated required documentation and compliance processes related to scholarship eligibility and enrollment requirements, ensuring the utmost confidentiality throughout the process.
? Work alongside school leadership to ensure proper enrollment documentation is collected and maintained Parent Communication & Retention
? Serve as a key point of contact for prospective and enrolled families
? Support parent communication throughout the enrollment and onboarding process
? As schools grow, help develop strategies that improve student retention and family engagement Administrative & Operational Support
? Assist with tuition collection processes and enrollment documentation ? Maintain accurate student records and enrollment data
? Support reporting and tracking through CRM systems
? Collaborate with school leadership to refine enrollment processes and outreach strategies Qualifications Required
? Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years equivalent professional experience
? Experience working with the Step Up For Students scholarship program
? Prior experience in K–12 private school enrollment or student recruitment
? Strong communication and relationship-building skills
? Ability to effectively explain and advocate for Shining Star’s hybrid education model
? Experience managing prospective families and enrollment pipelines
? Ability to organize and manage multiple outreach and enrollment initiatives
? Proven ability to maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive personal and financial information (student records, scholarship applications, and family data).
Preferred /
? Experience using CRM systems for enrollment tracking and follow-up. (We currently use Hubspot)
? Background in Christian education or working with faith-based organizations
? Experience supporting school start-ups or new campus launches
