As a Founding Staff Engineer, you’ll define and implement the core systems powering the platform. You’ll work hands-on across the stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide product-aligned engineering efforts.
You’ll also help establish technical standards, influence hiring, and mentor teammates. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer excited to wear multiple hats—builder, architect, leader—and make foundational contributions to a fast-moving AI product.
Build Core Systems: Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
Contribute to the Architecture: Influence architecture decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, design, and ML teams to translate business goals into robust features.
Advise and Guide: Provide technical mentorship and help shape a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Innovate: Leverage emerging technologies in AI/ML, generative AI, and hybrid search to enhance product capabilities.
Shape Engineering Culture: As a founding team member, help establish engineering practices, tooling, and team values.
Experience: 7+ years in full-stack software development, ideally with early-stage or high-growth startup experience.
Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), TypeScript (Next.js), PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker. Experience with LLM APIs (e.g., GPT, Claude) and/or vector DBs (e.g., Pinecone) is a big plus.
Product Mindset: Proven ability to work closely with product teams and balance speed, quality, and user experience.
