Position Title: IT Network Infrastructure Lead

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Network Infrastructure Lead to manage a remote team of three engineers responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the network infrastructure across a rapidly expanding network of storage facilities. The current team includes two engineers based in Birmingham and one in San Francisco. Additional hires will be made locally in the Nashville area.

The organization currently operates 170 units, with plans for significant growth. This position is fully remote with no on-site responsibilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to drive operational excellence, resolve complex network issues, and implement scalable processes that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a distributed team of three network engineers.

Oversee day-to-day network operations to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability.

Serve as a hands-on leader, actively engaging in problem-solving and technical escalations.

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive team performance.

Establish and refine operational processes to support team growth and network expansion.

Manage remote access and connectivity for IoT platforms and devices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new local engineers in Nashville.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience leading network or DevOps engineering teams.

Strong background in network infrastructure and systems administration.

Experience with ticketing systems and managing service levels.

Demonstrated success in developing scalable processes and managing emerging teams.

Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure environments.

Experience with remote IoT access technologies.

Proficiency in tools and platforms such as Meraki, Kubernetes, and Prometheus.

Track record of setting and managing team KPIs and performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are strongly preferred.
