Description:
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in applied ML research/engineering. You will lead the development by training large-scale multimodal (2D/3D vision-language) models on distributed backends, deployment of compact neural architectures efficiently on device, and learning policies that can be personalized to the user in a privacy-preserving manner. Ensuring quality in the wild, with an emphasis on fairness and model robustness, would constitute an important part of the role. You will be interacting very closely with a variety of ML researchers, software engineers, hardware & design teams cross-functionally. The primary responsibilities of the role would center on enriching the multimodal capabilities of large language models. The user experience initiative would focus on aligning image/video/text content to the space of LMs for visual actions & multi-turn interactions.

The Role:

  • Build and lead a team of engineers and data scientists researching and developing flexible generative multimodal LLMs

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and explore potential applications of large language models (LLMs) in multimodal psychological and educational data.

  •  Proficiency in training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in the field, is essential.

  • Develop and deploy models and algorithms to analyze and extract insights from large data sets, including psychological, academic, browsing, and interests, that can be utilized to develop student and teacher profiles.

  • Adopt and evaluate existing methods and tools, establish and maintain computational infrastructure and analytic pipelines in the lab

  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of the machine learning models and algorithms developed.

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of LLM models into production environments.
