Our client is seeking a Product Manager, Platform to own the shared technical foundation that powers all current and future product modules. This individual will define platform strategy, drive cross-product infrastructure decisions, and ensure shared services scale reliably as the company expands its product portfolio.
This is a highly strategic individual contributor role operating at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure APIs, authentication, data infrastructure, multi-tenancy, and integration services are built once, built correctly, and leveraged consistently across the platform.
The ideal background includes experience building internal platforms or shared services and the ability to translate ambiguous infrastructure needs into structured roadmaps that improve scalability, reliability, and developer velocity.
Own the roadmap for shared infrastructure including APIs, authentication/authorization, data layer, multi-tenancy, and CI/CD pipelines
Define platform investment priorities balancing internal developer productivity with customer-facing scalability and reliability needs
Drive build-vs-buy decisions across infrastructure and platform tooling
Partner with product-line PMs to identify shared platform needs, prevent duplicated work, and align infrastructure sequencing against product launches
Own integration infrastructure strategy across major tax software ecosystems including CCH Axcess, GoSystem, UltraTax, and ProSystem fx
Define standards for validation gating, primary key management, and outbound data integrity
Improve integration reliability and resolve known operational pain points
Write clear PRDs, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria for platform and integration initiatives
Govern how structured and unstructured tax data flows through the platform
Partner with Security and Compliance teams to maintain SOC 2 Type II standards and secure document handling practices
Define data access models, retention policies, audit requirements, and infrastructure standards that support future scalability and monetization initiatives
5+ years of Product Management experience, including at least 2 years focused on platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling products
Strong technical fluency across APIs, microservices, authentication patterns, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines
Experience building internal platforms or shared services used across multiple product teams
Track record defining SLAs, managing technical debt, and balancing pragmatic build-vs-buy tradeoffs
Ability to turn ambiguous infrastructure problems into structured, measurable roadmaps
Strong written communication skills with experience producing PRDs, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria
Proven success partnering cross-functionally across Engineering, Product, Security, and DevOps
Comfortable operating as a hands-on IC within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Experience with Azure-hosted infrastructure including AKS, PaaS services, and container orchestration
Background in SOC 2, data security, or compliance-driven environments
Familiarity with tax technology, financial services, or document-processing platforms
Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, model operations, or training platforms
Experience managing enterprise integrations or marketplace ecosystems
